Improve Your Web Design To Turn Visitors Into Real Enquiries

Very often I come across websites that look fantastic however, but on closer inspection provide no real information about the business or the products and services that they offer. They are difficult to navigate and I really have to go searching to find what I am looking for. If you take a moment to review your website from a visitors perspective, could this describe yours?

Here are just a few suggestions to help improve your site and get it converting traffic into leads.

Tip #1 - Attention Grabbing Headlines. A good headline attracts the attention of customers and search engines. Taking the time to come up with an effective headline for each page of your site, one that outlines what the page is about in the context of your business can make the difference between a customer reading on, or moving to another page. 

Tip #2 - Calls To Action. Utilise call to action buttons and text throughout the pages of your site. If you offer a free assessment and quote for example, make sure it is easy for visitors to find an access the form that needs to be completed. Having a mention in the menu bar is just the first step. Include a button at the bottom of inside pages or in the sidebar and add hyperlinks to relevant words of phrases in the body text is a constant reminder for visitors and makes it simple for them.

Tip #3 - Feature Your Main Offerings. By including images and teasers on the homepage you make it easy for visitors to see at first glance the main categories of products and services you offer. With just one click potential customers can access the information you wish to showcase.

Tip #4 - Highly Visible Contact Details. Make your contact details one of the first things a customer sees. Having the business phone number placed prominently throughout every page of your website, such as at the very top right of the page, means that if a visitor wants to call you, they don’t have to go searching for the details. Its all about making it as easy as possible for them to speak with you.
